New Table and Birthday preparations

This week I am busy with birthday preparations. I made a little food stand for her party and Kyndal was excited that she had a "new table". She pulled over her chairs from her real table and set it with plates and such. It is awesome how children are just amazed with cardboard creations. That goes to show you that a child can make a toy of anything and is perfectly happy with that. So for those of you wanting to know what to buy Kyndal for her Birthday, I say keep it simple and small. She loves to color, stamp, stickers and most thing "crafty". She is into pretend play a whole lot more. She is not ready for Barbies or small things that Mommy has to dress for her! We can't wait to see you all at her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse celebration.

More things that she loves: Mickey Mouse of course, Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, and Dora the Explorer (why I don't know as we haven't ever seen the show).

Kyndal has been re-united with her puppy

We went to school this morning ready with this note to post on all of the classrooms if the puppy didn't turn up.

I got a call part way through the day from Mrs. Mandy asking if Kyndal's puppy had a red triangle on the foot... YES!! YES!! YES!!

She said they found it in another child's bag although they didn't mention it. I wonder if they never even opened the bag??

Here she is re-united with her puppy. My prayers were answered.

Kyndal started school

Yes I have been a bad blogger :( We have been so busy and have been enjoying the much cooler than usual August weather. Kyndal started her school at the Creative Learning Center at the First Baptist Church in Smyrna 2 days a week. She started last week and goes on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9-2. It has been a bit of an adjustment for us.

In a nutshell.. The first day Mommy cried.....The second day Kyndal cried....The third day Kyndal practically ran into her classroom. She is already learning new things there and having fun. She is however having some issues getting comfortable with her teachers and going to the potty like she does for us. She is 100% potty trained with us even if we are out playing or shopping she always tells us. At school though she tends to hold it as long as possible and sometimes until she can't anymore. I am sure it will take a bit of time since she is so newly potty trained and she is in a new place with new people.

Oh, also please pray that we find Kyndal's special stuffed puppy. We send it to school with her each time because she has trouble sleeping with-out it, but it did not come back with her on Thursday. We went to the school today and could not find it and they called her teacher and she thought she put it in her bag. I hope someone brings it back.

Above is a picture of Kyndal with her new backpack. I wanted her to wear it but all she wants to do is pull it around.

Shake your Boobie....

One... No we are not getting freaky with this blog:) Two... This video does not quite do this justice, since it is a little hard to shake your bootie in a car seat; although she does try ;) Three... Thanks a lot Papa McConaha for teaching her this. I wish you would have taught her to pronounce Bootie with a "T" instead of a "B".

Sounds Game .... Kyndal loves Ozzie

This picture is from the Sounds game that we went to several weeks back. I was taking a picture of Kyndal and her Daddy to match one from her first Sounds game and the Mascot Ozzie jumped in for a pic. Neither Kyndal or Bret knew he was there until after I snapped the picture, he scared both of them. Kyndal cried, but has talked about Ozzie ever since. We went back Saturday night and all she talked about was Ozzie. We saw the Ozzie car on the way out and she has chattered about that all day today.

Her first Sounds game last year.

Cripple Creek Farm

Last Tuesday we visited an obscure private farm in Rutherford county. They have a lot of exotic animals there to see up close. We got to see sheep, llamas, camels, zebras, Emu's, Ostrich's, Kangaroos, Reindeer and several others. One thing I didn't expect to see was yet another snake cross my path (see this post on my other blog), two in one week is a little more than I want to see. I think this one was a chicken snake, harmless I guess. Kyndal got to pet many of the animals and we got to see a baby Kangaroo sticking out of it's Momma's pouch, well at least his feet:)

Bye-Bye Diapers

About 2 weeks ago I posted about us starting potty training with Kyndal, and believe it or not the girl is now potty trained. We are using up the last of the diapers for night-time and then moving to night-time pull-ups. We are also going to change over this week from going out of the house in a pull-up to using just a training pant. I think the last hurdle will be when she starts Mommy's Day Out next week, making sure she still tells them she has to go potty like she does us. Oh, I guess one more hurdle is getting her to go completely on her own. She can pull up her training pants on her own, but she needs our help to get up onto the potty. She prefers the big potty with the little seat insert over her little potty.

She is growing up so fast, here is a pic from today. She looks like such a little girl, doesn't she?
