Walking and the ball popper

I had a request from my Mom for a video of Kyndal walking by herself. She has been walking more and more everyday, now choosing walking over crawling. She learned to stand up on her own with out holding onto something and when she did that she really took off. Also, her Daddy have her a birthday present a little early. It is a Ball Popper and it is her favorite toy. She learned how to turn in on in a day. She also learned that she can put many other things in it other than the balls that belong there. One day we looked everywhere for Bret's eyedrops. Several hours later Kyndal turned on her ball popper and nothing was coming out, the eye drops were blocking the tube. We have also seen Cheerio's fly out of it and her shaker eggs are a perfect fit for the tube.

Also, I found a funny picture on my memory card. This was from a couple of weeks ago. We found Kyndal in her crib with her little belly hanging out and her pacifier on her head before we went to bed one night.

Kyndal's 1st birthday party

Kyndal's first birthday party is coming up real soon, in less than 3 weeks. I mailed out invitations a while back, but want to remind everyone. Please let me know if you plan to come. We need to buy food and some favors for the kids that are attending. We plan on having some games and good food for the adults as well as the kids. We are praying that the heat breaks by then. I have a bunch of stuff to share and a quick update on Kyndal. She went back to the doctor on Monday because she got stuffy again and was a little cranky. I was hoping that I was a paranoid mom, but I wasn't, she has an ear infection in the other ear now. So she is on round 2 of antibiotics. She is feeling so much better now that she has been on it for a couple of days, so I think it is getting better. This was the same thing that happened last time. So now for the fun stuff.

This picture is how Kyndal looks after most dinners. She has a tendancy to rub her hands in her hair after she is done eating. So it is bath time almost every night after dinner. Doesn't she look like a wild woman.

We put up a swing for Kyndal on the back porch. She loves it. It is so hot here though we only go out for a few minutes in the evening for a swing.

Houston, we have a walker

OMG, Kyndal has had a big couple of days. But first thing is first... Kyndal is officially a TODDLER!! Thursday night Daddy and Mommy encouraged her to take some more steps and she started walking between us a few steps at a time and then would throw herself in our arms. She thought it was so funny, she would laugh the whole time!! Friday night she all of the sudden started walking away from the coffee table by herself. And today she got really brave and would walk everywhere. First a few steps at a time and at one point Bret counted and she had taken 14 STEPS!!! See the videos for a few snippets, she has even improved since we took these videos and just takes off on her own.

Other big things are that she got her 4th tooth today. We joined the Mom's group of Smyrna and Lavergne and had our first playgroup on Friday. The other moms are great and there are two babies that are 1 month younger and 1 baby that is 1 month older than Kyndal. They have outings or playgroups several times a week and even have Mom's night out once a month. The other big thing that Kyndal has started doing is climbing. At our playgroup on Friday there was a little rocking chair and she decided to climb up on it. Since then she has climbed up onto the fireplace hearth and attempted to climb on the windowseal, my file box, her diaper box and everything else. She is such a little monkey.

Kyndal is 11 months old today

Our little baby is 11 months old today. She is so much fun it is unbelievable sometimes. She is just about ready to start walking. She has gotten better at taking steps than the last video and will actually stop in between steps. She has pretty good balance and will walk with us just holding onto one finger, she just needs a little more confidence in her walking skills. She is so spunky, I can't wait for some of you who haven't seen her in a while to see her at her birthday party. Here are a few snaps that I took today, her 11 month birthday.
